Privacy Policy

Sassy Squad is run by Sassy Brands LLC, a family business (yes, a real family). We make products for girls, and we market them to their parents — which means we think about kids' privacy a lot. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect, why, and what your choices are. Our promise up front: we collect almost nothing, we never sell your information, and we do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13.

Children under 13 — our COPPA promise

This website's downloads and email list are for adults only. Our printables and updates are made for families, but the sign-up itself is for parents and grown-ups (18+). Every sign-up form says so.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We don't ask kids for their names, emails, photos, or anything else, and our site has no accounts, comments, or chat.

If you believe a child under 13 has submitted their email address to us, tell us at hellosassysquad@gmail.com and we will delete it right away.

What we collect

Your email address — only if you (an adult) type it into one of our sign-up forms to get a free printable or join the launch list, together with a tag telling us which page you signed up on.
Anything you choose to email us — if you write to us, we'll have your message and address so we can reply.
Basic technical logs — our website host (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard server data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and prevent abuse. We don't use it to identify you.

That's it. No accounts, no purchases yet, no advertising trackers, and no data brokers. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google when the page loads.

How we use your email

To send you the free download you asked for.
To send occasional Sassy Squad news — launch updates, new freebies, and early-access offers. No spam, ever.

Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribes promptly, as US law (CAN-SPAM) requires. You can also just reply "unsubscribe" and a human will take you off the list.

Who handles your data for us

We use a small number of service providers to run this site, and they only process your information to provide their service to us: Cloudflare Pages (website hosting), FormSubmit (delivers form submissions to our inbox), Google Fonts (typefaces), and — once our newsletter launches — an email service provider such as MailerLite (stores the list and sends the emails). We never sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we don't share it for anyone else's marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you do either, it's removed from our list. We may keep a minimal suppression record so we don't accidentally email you again.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you (it will almost certainly be just your email address), correct it, or delete it. Email hellosassysquad@gmail.com and we'll take care of it — usually within a few days. Depending on your state (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local privacy law; we honor reasonable requests from everyone regardless of where you live. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Security

Our site is served over HTTPS, we collect the minimum we can, and access to the list is limited to the family members who run the business. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Links to other places

Our site links out to places like YouTube, podcast apps, Pinterest, and Amazon (some Amazon links are affiliate links, which we always disclose). Those sites have their own privacy policies — this one only covers ours.

Visitors outside the US

We're a US business serving the US market, and our services are hosted in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the US.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information — for example, when our shop opens — we'll update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged in our emails.
